Handmade black crocheted with tassels, tribal, hobo, boho, hippie, ibiza, over the shoulder, cross body bag

This stylish, unique and classy bag can be worn for dressy occasions or with your favorite pair of jeans.

The main body of the bag was crocheted with bulky, black cotton yarn. I love using unique recycled materials such as belts, jewelry and fabrics to make my purses, which I have used on this bag. Lots of detail!

I hand stitched a piece of a mens tie around the opening edge, then stitched on beaded tassel trim and metal belt pieces onto each end of the trim.

I used a piece of leather belt that flaps over the front of the bag, to keep the bag closed. The three off white medallions on the belt flap are pieces of an ornamental belt from India, that looks like carved ivory, then added a tear drop shaped piece of jewelry at the end. On the back of the bag at the end of the belt flap, I stitched on another metal belt piece.

The interior fabric is a decorator fabric that reminds me of a tiny leopard print. There is an interior pocket with a zipper. I added some floral appliqués onto the pocket to give a tiny bit of color.

I used 2 leather belts for the strap, one of which has metal decorative pieces almost the entire length of the belt. There is a buckle to adjust the length of the strap. The bag can be worn over the shoulder or across your body. The strap is attached to the leather loops that have been stitched onto the bag, with metal rings and Chicago screws.

Strap is 44” long (including rings). There are 2 holes available before the buckle and 2 holes after the buckle to where the strap can be adjusted shorter or longer.
